![]() ![]() With a very short commute to Manhattan this is a wonderful location to live. Amenities include a concierge, fitness center, rooftop deck and residents lounge. 188 apartments consisting of studios, one and two bedrooms are outfitted with modern finishes, wood flooring and sleek stainless steel appliances. LIC Talk reported earlier this month that management was offering a free month's rent, but that might not be as likely now, because even though they've been on the market for about a second, some apartments have already entertained the PriceUpper.Located between Long Island City's waterfront and the shopping and dining corridor of Vernon Boulevard, this is LIC's hottest new destination. About 18 units are available now (no studios yet, alas). It's all happening at 5-11 47th Avenue, which is between the waterfront and main drag Vernon Boulevard. The lobby has an ebony-and-quartz concierge desk (and an outsourced concierge service) other amenities include a roof deck with barbecue areas and an outdoor theater for moving screenings, an indoor lounge with leather club furniture and a pool table, a fitness center, and bicycle storage. ![]() Though there are but a handful of floorplans available at the moment, apparently many apartments have totally unique layouts. ![]() Many have terraces and/or views of Manhattan. Each unit in the 12-story building, designed by SLCE, has a front-loading washer and dryer, hardwood floors, and GE appliances. ( Fancy!) The "private leasing period"?which ain't so private anymore, right?is now open for the first of its 188 apartments to list: studios starting at $1,975/month, one-bedrooms from $2,495, and two-bedrooms from $3,395. ![]() Parachuting onto the rental market is another large luxury Long Island City project: The Maximilian. ![]()
